A.E. Neapoleos
The football team was founded in 1968. There are 18 players in the squad with an average age of 25 years. The
Chairman is Konstantinos Kasteliankis and the Manager is Antonioas Giannakakis. The home ground is the Stadio
Neapolis “Periklis Melidoniotis”, which can seat 1,000 spectators. In the 2021-22 season they were in Group 7 of
the Gamma Ethniki, which is the third highest league in Greece. They have been the Lasithi FCA Champions three
times; in 1992-3, 2017-18 and 2019-20. Matches are very often televised.
Neapolis Lasithi Philharmonic
The Municipal Philharmonic of Neapolis is a wind and percussion band. Its aim is to provide Music Education to
students of Neapolis and the wider area. After a year of successful participation in the events of the Philharmonic,
the student has the opportunity to learn to play a second musical instrument; accordion, harmonica, guitar, etc.
The courses are FREE and are covered by the Cultural Organization of the Municipality of Agios Nikolaos.
Registration takes place at the beginning of each school year either in the schools or directly at the philharmonic
building every day from 4p.m. to 7p.m. In addition to providing musical education, the Philharmonic participates in
all the religious and national celebrations of the wider region as well as in organizing concerts during the Summer
season.
REPERTOIRE
The repertoire of the Neapolis Municipal Philharmonic is varied. It consists of Artistic Greek, pieces of classical
music, songs of Greek and foreign bands as well as music from the world of cinema. The Neapolis Philharmonic,
with a long history of tradition, has become an important part of the fabric of the community. The first appearance
of the Philharmonic was in 1930, at the celebration of the Virgin Mary on August 15. In the following years and to
this day the Philharmonic participates in many public events. In 1994, Nektarios Arakadakis, became the
conductor of the Philharmonic and remains to this day.

The group was established in 2014.
and has regular events and races throughout the year.
Lasithi AOL Competition Group
This is a group comprised of Motocross enthusiasts and was established in 1989. There is an MX track close to
