Neapoli is on the main bus route, which passes through all coastal
resorts between Heraklion and Agios Nikolaos. Be aware that the
buses get very busy in high season and the conductors do a brilliant
job but need all the help they can get…
All bus stops are numbered so make a note of the stop you want get
off at; the conductors will call out the number or if it is situated at a
hotel they will call out the hotel name.
Buses come through the Town square around every hour or so and
there is a bus station on the square where you can buy tickets. So why
not stay for a drink or meal, have a good look around and just chill out
in the town before catching your bus back.
You can even book tickets online (click the card). Below is timetable
from July but please double check online if it is still current as KTEL do
periodical updates.
Getting here by Taxi
Neapoli has a Taxi rank on the main square and Airport pick-
up is no problem. If you are staying here they can offer local
fares into the resorts and most speak English. We are
currently waiting for other cards….
